So, due to finishing work and becoming a professional Lady of the Internet - at least for a while - I find myself in the position to start watching some new TV shows that I haven't had the chance to pick up yet.

All of the below are things I have not seen at all - I've seen the pilot of Lost and of Mad Men, that's it - and all of them I'm pretty much unspoiled for but interested in. Some, obviously, are finished, and some are still running.

Which TV show should I mainline first?

TICKY. BOXES.
Lol so we all knew I'd say The Vampire Diaries. Although, have you started watching Breaking Bad at all? I don't think you've mentioned it and it's not on the list, but I'd definitely recommend it. I'm not even finished all the seasons out so far (all that is left to be released is season five part two and then the series ends) and I'm loving it. It's very well done. Also, I only started it because people would not stop going on about it but I kind of see what they were getting at now.

I think if you're looking to mainline something and feel satisfied by it you should go for Friday Night Lights or Gilmore Girls, as they have a lot of seasons and are finished. BUT I personally, as soon as I read the words "new tv" thought of Homeland instantly and then scanned your list to see if it was there. We're only on season 2, so there isn't loads of it, but it is SUCH good tv. It is so tense that I almost can't handle it, and I'm usually not interested in that kind of tv show at all.

Also it's Obama's fave, so.
Oh and you should definitely watch The West Wing too. I loved it.
offended that The Good Wife isn't in this list, tbh
